Nemesis Shows

Nemesis' shows are typically multi-hour, all-age concerts at well known and reputable clubs, bars and concert halls. We do occasionally produce 18+ or 21+ concerts, but our focus on all-age shows stems from our belief that in today's local music scene, it is disproportionately difficult for talented younger acts to get booked for shows. Nemesis aims to get up-and-coming artists booked on shows with more seasoned talent in order to jump start their musical careers.

What is Provided

Each act will of course be given access to a stage or playing area for their performance. While the exact dimensions and aesthetic of each playing area will vary from venue to venue - including the lighting, effects and general atmosphere - certain equipment will always be provided by the venue:

-- A PA System
-- Vocal Microphones, Stands & Cables
-- Monitors
-- A Sound Technician
-- Drum & Amp Mics, if needed

 What is NOT Provided / What acts are Responsible for Bringing

-- Instruments, Including Drum Kits & Hardware
-- Instrument Cables
-- Amps & Cabinets
-- Turntables (if needed by artist)
-- Backtrack CDs, for Hip Hop Artists

Note On Acoustic Guitars: If you / your act uses an acoustic guitar, you have several options in terms of micing that guitar. You can:

-- Bring your own acoustic guitar mic and amp, which can then be connected to the house PA system. This is the recommended option because it will allow you to control how your acoustic guitar sounds. The house PA system will merely replicate and amplify the sound that comes out of your amp.
-- OR, you can simply play into a vocal mic plugged into the house PA system. The disadvantage of this is that you are less mobile on stage.
-- Lastly, if your acoustic guitar has a 1/4" jack, or if you have a acoustic guitar clip-on mic, you can plug that directly into the house PA system via a Direct Box. Most of the venues that we work with have a Direct Box available for artists to use, however, if you have one, you could always bring it just to be safe
